the subkeys on this key are for everyday encryption and signing.  although
i do take precautions to keep the keys secure, i use these keys where and
when it's convenient and ~reasonably~ secure. the subkeys do not represent
*ultimate* security (whatever that is).

the master key is as secure as i can keep it. please note that it can be
used for both signing AND encryption. if you have a paranoid reason to send
me something that requires ultimate security, use that as an encryption key.
it might take me a little longer than usual to open it, because that key is
not always at my fingertips.

if you want to exchange signatures with me:
   1) do *NOT* put an expiration date on your signature.
   2) do *NOT* post your signature to a keyserver or otherwise place it into
        public circulation.
   3) *DO* send the copy to me, encrypted to my public key.

if you do not follow those steps, you will annoy me, and i will probably not
sign your key.

if i do sign your key, i will probably use the levels of signature to mean
this:
   level 1 - i have no idea you really are or have no way to confirm your
        pseudononymous identity. i do know that your email address and
        ownership of the key are correct since i encrypted my signature and
        emailed it to you.
   level 2 - you have shown me photo ID that i consider credible, but aside
        from that i have no way of knowing who you are. i do know that your
        email address and ownership of the key are correct, for the reasons
        above.
   level 3 - i know you personally and for some length of time. i did not
        just meet you once or twice prior to signing your key. just to be
        sure, i still encrypted my signature and sent it to the email
        address in your key's UID.
